When East Chicago is mentioned in conversation, one of the first words that should come to mind is 'industry'. Many friends and family members have traveled to this city, whether for work at locations like Inland Steel or for entertainment at places like Ameristar Casino and Hotel. It's one of the more historic cites north of route 30 in Northwest Indiana, and has great parks, a splash pad for kids and one of the country's largest hand-painted murals.
